Central Park – Haywards Bay

Central Park is a hidden patch nestled amongst the Haywards Bay residential estate, a popular go-to for local families and neighbourhood kids.

CRS was awarded the task of upgrading the existing play space with fresh rubber surfacing and next-gen inclusive play equipment. To begin with, CRS removed and disposed of the damaged surfacing and tired play equipment, followed by site excavation and preparation.

A KliX FUSIONplay fort was installed as the centre attraction, providing an array of climbing and sliding activities. Nearby, is a double-bay swing set, armed with a huge nest seat, toddler seat and boat seat.

Inclusivity was an important motivator for the new space, as a solution, CRS installed a wheelchair accessible spinning carousel and an inground trampoline. The trampoline is part of the exciting new KliX KangaTramp range. At ground level, brightly coloured standalone play panels can be found at the park’s entrance and within the play fort.

To finish it off, a certified soft-fall rubber system blankets the area while 5 sandstone blocks and an aluminium park seat provide some well-deserved rest time.
