The grove academy – mount annan

The Grove Academy is an exclusive group of early childhood services that specialise in providing the best quality childcare and education for children from birth to five years and this new centre is situated in Mount Annan on raintree drive.

The outdoor space was a blank canvas, Matts brief was to introduce creativity and learning opportunities into the playground, whilst paying attention to flow and potential new architectural developments to the new childcare building. After surveying the site and meeting with Matt to understand his needs and current issues with the space, we produced initial designs for the outdoor playspace. Based on these designs, CRS was appointed as principal contractor for the project citing our bespoke design approach, our use of responsibly sourced Australian hardwoods and the distinctive natural appearance of our products as the reason for their choice.

The end results created more purposeful play and learning opportunities in the new playspace and included several easy maintainable products requested by Matt such as artificial turf, EPDM wetpour rubber surfacing and mulch gardens weaving their way to balance beams, mound slides, teepees, water play, inground sandpits, rope bridges,inground trampolines and a climbing play structure.

For us at CRS Creative Recreation Solutions, it was a pleasure to be able to work with Matt whose values and ethos align so closely with our own and we were pleased to hear that the children and staff of The Grove Academy are delighted with the finished product.
